I've been blanked.
At some point most parents of teenagers will face the reality of the their children becoming private about there business. There's a fine balance of a parent child relationship especially a teenager daughter despite how open your relationship is.
I can testify to that! It was only a few weeks ago when I just checked my daughters profile based on conversations I had with other parents that I discovered she had her mobile number on there. So as a concerned parent I thought I'd just let her know what I discovered and asked her to be mindful of this piece of info. She went out to change her profile setting which i was pleased about.
Little did I know that she would take it one stage further and deny me access to her wall. Now whatever the reason and after the initial shock I totally respect her position and instead of anger, I show her more support and love.
She doesn't know I know yet but to me thats not the point. I want to make sure that it does damage our relationship. Isn't that want counts?
Let me know your thoughts and experiences.
Warm Regards
Andrew
